I'm calling the vending machine project a success. The prototype machine has been in the customer's facility for two full weeks with no errors, software or hardware. The CPU load is consistently under 2% and there are no memory leaks. The users are happy (enough) with the software. The automatic restock reports work.

I win at vending machines.

I'm looking for more creative/flexible/important work. Programmer Meet Designer looks like it could be a good resource for finding the kind of work I want - ideally a team startup.
